I haven’t posted many photo updates recently. Probably because I haven’t been shooting as much. But here are a few shots from the last month. I have to get out of the subways. Enjoy
The Day After Hurricane Sandy

After The storm had passed, and I finally had internet again, Brooklyn seemed almost untouched, but from what I saw on facebook and instragram, Manhattan had gotten worked. So Hogan, Dan, Bellerud, Solveig, and I hopped in the car and headed over to the city. The LES defiantly saw the worst of it, and downtown near wall street. With out power anywhere, meaning no street lights, you could basically drive wherever you wanted. We didnt do to much exploring, but enjoy the photos from Hurricane Sandy.

A Conversation With Adrian Vega

I couldn’t think of anything to post for today. So while looking through the archives, I came across a decent amount of Adrian Vega photos that were just collecting dust. He also happened to be online, so I just started having a conversation with him about whatever. And that has become the post. The photo above is still one of my favorite photos I’ve ever shot. Enjoy the rest of them which no one wanted to run. Thanks

For the last month or so, I have been without a scanner. So sorry for the lack of photo updates, but now, thanks to Dre, Im back in business. These are a bunch of shots from the last week or so. I moved into a new apt, so the roof shots are from the new spot. A shot of Lafayette and Prince after the earthquake a week back or so. Went and got lunch with Emilio and Richard, and a shot from a random night of adventures in Brooklyn. Also a shot of Grant from when he was intown for Street League. He was ready for Irene! Enjoy, polaroids and more to come soon!

A Saturday Afternoon off Flushing Ave

Manny was in town for the weekend. And theres nothing he loves more than a good handrail. So we set off for the Marcy projects rail off of broadway. With it being one of the hottest days of the summer so far, the local italian ice vendor was out accompanied by the dollar water lady, both yelling and competing for our dollar bills. Coconut water was a must for the day along with some delicious snacks from the corner bodega. As soon a we got to the rail and everyone was warming up Manny sliced open his hand from the broken glass all over the ground. Chase rolled his ankle and Toga was over it. So all eyes went on Joey. He came through with some tricks, so it wasn’t a complete waste. After that, Billy was telling us about a bump to rail he wanted to hit up right off of Flushing Ave. As we skated up to the spot, everyone was still looking for the it, we didnt realize what Billy was talking about. Then we saw, and then we laughed, and then we were amazed. Enjoy the photos..

AMERICA DAY

A couple friends from Lowell and Jupiter arrived in NYC the other night. Spent the day driving around Brooklyn taking full advantage of the fact we had a car. After the last spot we headed back to the house and spent the rest of the night on the roof waiting for the fireworks to go off. After that was all done, for some reason we all thought itd be a good idea to go to Korea town and sing Karaoke till 3am. Which is not a good idea at all. Enjoy the photos…

Greenpoint with Billy McFeely

Met up with Peter and Billy today in Brooklyn after work. Billy wanted to do do some bump to rail, Only problem was that there was a car in the way. So we went around the corner to wait it out, and there was a bigger version of it. Might as well right?

K&K Gallery Present: Road Trip PA

My good friend George Underwood is having a group show over at K&K Gallery in Brooklyn. The show features the work of four photographers from a road trip through Pennsylvania. Here is Georges Statement for the show…
“It is a six hour drive from New York City to Braddock, PA. It took us two days. We went searching, like great photographers of the past, seeing what Pennsylvania could offer us. Driving miles out of our way just because a sign said something was there or we would see something in the distance and wanted to see how close we could get. Four friends set out to visit other friends and ended up taking an adventure”.
The show opens on Friday the 13th
Food NYC: Fette Sau

Went to Fette Sau for the 2nd time this month with my brother and some friends. Place is on point with the BBQ. The spot has a variety of meats ranging from Hand Pulled Berkshire Shoulder, St Louis Style Pork Ribs and much more. The 45 min wait to get the food is well worth it. Good luck with getting a table though, place is always packed. The spot is located at 354 Metropolitan Ave, not to far from the BQE spot, so cruise over after a rainy day session and get some amazing BBQ.

Throwback: Winter 2009

Sometime in the winter of 2009 while living on Nassau Ave in Brooklyn, I was lucky enough to have some really good friends stay with me for an extended period of time, which seems to happen a lot. David, and Nicky stayed at the house I think for almost 2 months on and off, and Brendan came up from Florida to spend some time in the city. While I was in school still my teacher had assigned a portrait assignment. So I was lucky enough to not have to search for any subjects, and just ended up shooting them. Enjoy the photos.
