Getting Lost at Bear Mountain

On Labor Day weekend a crew of us decided it was time to try our luck again at finding Pine Meadow Lake. A little chunk of paradise located inside Harriman State Park. Almost a year ago we went in search of finding the promise land to celebrate Kuzma‘s Birthday, and only ended up getting lost. None of us had iPhones with google maps, and even if we did, it wouldn’t have helped. We had no idea what we were doing. We just walked in circles, trekked up and down hills for hours till night was creeping upon us and we had no choice but to accept defeat and turn around. We even got lost trying to find our way back to the car. And I take most the blame for that. We just went with no real plan other than to have fun. Which we did…. kind of… a little… well we got lost. None the less it was an adventure. This time around was different though. We had directions from a friend who had taken us there almost a year and a half ago now for the first time. On this Labor Day though we made it there, only getting somewhat lost, and only having to ask for direction once, maybe twice. But in the end, we arrived there, to that little slice of heaven. So enjoy the photos from our adventure to Bear Mountain.
